What if the right technology could help someone live more independently, stay safe at home, or remain connected to the people and communities that matter most?
That's the question at the heart of KenCrest's new Smarter Living Home in Philadelphia. Building on the success of KenCrest's Pottstown location, the second home expands opportunities for people to explore assistive technology in a real-life setting and discover solutions that align with their goals and lifestyles.
From smart home devices and communication tools to safety supports and voice-activated technology, visitors can experience these technologies firsthand before deciding what may work best for them. Through KenCrest's Enabling Technology Program, people with disabilities, older adults, veterans, caregivers, and private-pay individuals can access personalized guidance and support to find solutions that enhance independence, choice, and quality of life.

Technology That Starts With the Person
Everyone's goals are different. For some, that means staying safe at home. For others, it's managing daily routines more independently, staying connected with family and friends, or aging in place with confidence.
That's why KenCrest's Enabling Technology Program starts with the individual, not the device. Our team takes the time to understand each person's goals, needs, and routines before recommending technology solutions that fit their life. Certified Assistive Technology professionals provide assessments, training, and ongoing support to help ensure technology continues to meet the person's needs over time.
Assistive technology can support everything from medication management and communication to home safety, social connection, and greater independence in everyday life. For older adults, veterans, people with disabilities, caregivers, and families, these tools can create new opportunities for choice, confidence, and peace of mind.
Since launching the program, KenCrest has supported more than 200 individuals through Enabling Technology services. With Smarter Living Homes in both Pottstown and Philadelphia, more people can explore what's possible, discover solutions that work for them, and take the next step toward achieving their goals.
