What is the New Business Idea Program?

How To Apply
This year, KenCrest’s New Business Idea Initiative will be done in three phases throughout the year, opening on Monday, Sept. 30, 2024, and closing on May 9, 2025.
The first window opens on Sept. 30, 2024, with the conditional award notifications disseminated on November 8, 2024. First window conditional award recipients must submit business plans by January 10, 2025. Then the KenCrest Centers’ Board of Directors will announce the recipients in February 2025.
The second window opens on January 10, 2025, with the conditional award notifications disseminated on February 28, 2025. Second window conditional award recipients must submit a business plan by May 9, 2025, and the Board of Directors will announce recipients of this window in June 2025.
The third window opens on May 9, 2025, with conditional award notifications sent on June 27, 2025. Third window business plans must be submitted by September 12, 2025, and the board will announce recipient winners in Oct. 2025.
