What is SWIFT Support?
SWIFT Support is about more than responding to challenging behaviors. It is about helping preschool children stay connected to the classrooms, relationships, and routines that help them grow. When a child is having a hard time in the classroom, or with daily routines, families and educators do not have to figure it out alone. SWIFT partners with early learning centers to better understand what a child may be communicating through behavior, respond with confidence, and build more inclusive preschool classrooms.
That support helps strengthen relationships between preschool children, educators, and families while reducing the risk of repeated classroom removals, early pickups, suspension, or expulsion. Every classroom looks different, but the goal stays the same: helping young children feel included, understood, and ready to learn.
A Real Story: Finding Support Before a Child Is Pushed Out
For one parent, preschool had become a source of growing concern. Their child was having a difficult time in the classroom, and the family was trying to understand what support would help. They were receiving calls from school and wondering whether their child would be able to remain successfully included in the classroom. Instead of focusing only on behavior, they were asking a question many families face: What support does my child need to feel included and successful in preschool?
Like many families, they were not just looking for help with behavior. They were looking for someone to listen, help make sense of what their child may have been communicating, and work with the adults around them to create strategies that felt practical and supportive. They wanted their preschooler to remain connected to learning, relationships, and routines.
With SWIFT Support, the family and educators had a partner to help better understand what the child was experiencing and strengthen the supports already surrounding them. Together, they focused on connection, consistency, and practical strategies that could fit into everyday moments at home, school, and in the community. That support helped the child remain part of the classroom community and continue building relationships during the preschool years.

Designed for preschools and early learning centers, this support is for educators and families who want to create classrooms where young children feel understood, supported, and able to stay connected to learning.
It may be the right fit when a preschool child is being removed from classroom activities, sent home early, spending significant time outside the classroom, or showing behavior that may be affecting their ability to participate successfully. Through relationship-based coaching, educators can respond with more confidence and families can feel reassured that their child has support to remain included in an early learning setting.

Training and Support for Early Learning Centers
For preschool and early learning centers, this support can strengthen staff confidence, help educators support young children more effectively, and create classrooms where more children can remain included and engaged. Training is designed to give educators practical strategies they can use in daily routines, transitions, peer interactions, and other everyday classroom moments.
Centers can access:
- A 12-month certification program for professionals who support preschool and early learning settings
- Cohort-based learning that combines asynchronous modules with live, facilitated sessions
- Training for early learning center directors and leaders, early interventionists, mental health consultants and coaches, and quality coaches
- Practical, relationship-based strategies that can be applied in everyday classroom moments
