What is the New Business Idea Program?

How To Apply
This year, KenCrest’s New Business Idea Initiative will be done in three phases throughout the year, opening on July 3, 2023, and closing on May 10, 2024.
The first window opens on Sept. 29, 2023, with the conditional award notifications disseminated on Nov. 10, 2023. First window conditional award recipients must submit business plans by Jan. 5, 2024. Then the KenCrest Centers’ Board of Directors will announce the recipients in February 2024.
The second window opens on Jan. 12, 2024, with the conditional award notifications disseminated on March 1. Second window conditional award recipients must submit a business plan by May 10, 2024, and the Board of Directors will announce recipients of this window in June 2024.
The third window opens on May 10, 2024, with conditional award notifications sent on June 28. Third window business plans must be submitted by Sept. 13, 2024, and the board will announce recipient winners in Oct. 2024.
