Students with Disabilities Have Access to Additional School Year

Text to promote signed bill that allows those 21 years of age to take an additional year of school due to COVID.

Repeat Academic Year Lost to COVID-19

Yesterday, Governor Tom Wolf signed SB664 into law, which allows families to request to have their student repeat this school year due to academic loss related to COVID-19. All students are eligible in any school district across the state.

Any student who may be 21 ending this past school year, is allowed to take advantage of this opportunity. Any student with an IEP/504 Plan has the right to repeat the year with the supports required under their current IEP/504 Plan. Families must make their request to their school district by July 15, 2021 to receive this opportunity.

Thank you to Governor Wolf and the General Assembly for passing this critical legislation that will support students with disabilities and their families!
