The countdown is on! On October 8-9th, advocates, self-advocates, families, providers, educators, business leaders, and community members from across the region will come together for the 2026 Disability Summit: Envisioning the Future of Disability Inclusion at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia. The event is part of the Philadelphia 250 celebration and is expected to bring together more than 1,000 attendees for meaningful conversations about building a more inclusive future.

Hosted by Cities of Inclusion, an initiative of Special Olympics Pennsylvania, and EmpathyTech, the summit will focus on turning today's challenges into actionable solutions that help create communities where everyone belongs. Through interactive sessions, community dialogue, and a resource expo, attendees will have the opportunity to learn from disability advocates, civic leaders, healthcare professionals, educators, policymakers, and other changemakers.

KenCrest is proud to be part of the 2026 Disability Summit and help advance conversations about inclusion, belonging, and opportunity for people with disabilities. This year, Kathy Trumbore, KenCrest's Director of Lifesharing, will be a featured speaker in the Empowering Families and Caregivers track on Thursday, October 9. Kathy will explore the life-changing impact of Lifesharing, a support model that fosters meaningful relationships, greater independence, and a true sense of belonging for people with disabilities while enriching the lives of the families and providers who open their hearts and homes. Whether you're a family member, caregiver, professional, or advocate, this is a session you won't want to miss. Register today and join us as we count down to the Disability Summit and the opportunity to help build communities where everyone belongs.
