Joy Reiss joined KenCrest in 1999 as an Employment Consultant, drawn to work that centered dignity, opportunity, and inclusion. With a background in occupational therapy and psychology, she began her career working directly with individuals, supporting meaningful employment and active participation in community life.

As KenCrest grew, so did Joy’s leadership. She advanced into roles as Site Facilitator and Director of Facility‑Based Programs, helping build and oversee employment programs that balanced operational excellence with person‑centered values. Known for stepping forward when new challenges arose, Joy earned trust through collaboration and action, shaping programs that reflected KenCrest’s mission in practice.

In 2009, Joy transitioned into an organization‑wide leadership role as Assistant to the Executive Director of KenCrest Services. In this position, she has helped shape strategy, strengthen cross‑departmental collaboration, and support initiatives that drive long‑term impact. Joy leads with integrity, humility, and a deep sense of stewardship, bringing nearly three decades of experience and commitment to strengthening communities and advancing inclusion. Joy Reiss has an Associate of Science in Occupational Therapy from Penn State University and a B.A. in Psychology from Lebanon Valley College.
