We are proud to celebrate Joy Dixon, one of the winners at the 10th Annual Community Champions Event on September 10th!

Joy’s story is one of extraordinary strength, resilience, and love. A devoted mother of three children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, Joy has faced every challenge with hope and determination. With the support of KenCrest and caring partners, she reunited her family through Medically Complex Lifesharing, becoming one of the first families in Pennsylvania to benefit from this groundbreaking service.

Since 2022, Joy has created a nurturing home filled with laughter, opportunity, and unconditional love. She manages her children’s complex medical needs with grace, celebrates every milestone—like her daughter Jayla earning an MVP award at school and Jade’s artwork being featured in a local art show—and ensures each day is filled with connection and joy.

As Kristen Fritzinger, Assistant Director of Lifesharing, shared:

“I am nominating Joy not only for her unwavering love and dedication but also for the incredible strength she has shown in overcoming adversity to create a safe, joyful life for her family.”

Joy’s journey is a powerful reminder that perseverance and love can overcome even the toughest challenges. We are honored to recognize her as a true Community Champion, and we thank her for inspiring us all with her courage, compassion, and heart.
