On September 10, during KenCrest’s Community Champions event, we proudly honored Cheryl Epps and Loblolly Acres for their generosity, kindness, and unwavering commitment to creating joyful experiences for the KenCrest community. 

For years, Cheryl and her partner have opened the gates of their Delaware farm, Loblolly Acres, to welcome the people we support and the staff who care for them every day. With hayrides, animals, and wide-open fields, Loblolly Acres has become more than a farm — it’s a place of laughter, discovery, and belonging. Most recently, Cheryl extended an invitation to every KenCrest Delaware home, hosting a celebration in her newly built barn and encouraging guests to explore the many activities her farm has to offer. 

The impact of Cheryl’s generosity goes far beyond a day of fun. For many participants, it was a chance to step outside their comfort zones by feeding animals, meeting new friends, and trying activities for the very first time. These moments of courage and joy strengthen confidence and build lasting memories. 

Cheryl’s connection to KenCrest is deeply personal as a relative of a KenCrest individual. Her dedication reflects not only her love for her family but also her belief in KenCrest’s mission to create inclusive communities for all. By opening her farm to the community, Cheryl has created a space where everyone feels welcome, valued, and celebrated.
