Marian Baldini, President and CEO

Ms. Baldini came to KenCrest as CEO in December 2015. She has over 38 years of executive planning, administration, academia, and director support in the human services sector, of which the past 14 years she served as Chief Operating Officer at Jewish Employment and Vocational Services (JEVS) of Philadelphia. Prior to her tenure with JEVS, Ms. Baldini was Regional Operations Director for Northwestern Human Services (NHS), and before that, Vice President at Elwyn. Her first position following graduate school was as a Direct Support Professional in a KenCrest community home.

Marian is inspired by the commitment to positive approaches and the spirit of innovation that has thrived at KenCrest. For her, it is an honor to serve where there is true commitment to social justice and community champions. She brings her skills as a visionary in the human services sector to KenCrest, seeing broad goals and possibilities, and is able to put the right processes, people, and culture in place to take those goals from dreams to reality. She is always studying and sharing new ideas to inspire her staff to innovate, and her passion for the work inspires other leaders.

Ms. Baldini earned a B.A. in Psychology from Temple University, an M.A. in Mental Health Evaluation from Drexel University, and an M.B.A. from Widener University. She is currently an Adjunct Faculty Member of the graduate program at Widener University School of Business.

Pam Schuessler, Chief Operating Officer

Ms. Schuessler has been with KenCrest for 40 years, starting as an Assistant Teacher. She then held the positions of Teacher, Program Coordinator, Coordinator of Early Intervention Services, Assistant Director of Early Intervention Services, and Assistant Division Director of Children and Family Services. She was appointed as KenCrest COO of Community Based Services in 2007 and more recently was appointed to COO of KenCrest Services.

Pam is inspired by KenCrest’s commitment to carrying out its mission with strong values, vision, and being a leader in the industry. During her tenure, she spearheaded the shift from segregated Early Intervention to fully-inclusive, community-based Early Learning Centers.

Ms. Schuessler graduated with a B.S. in Human Services and an ECE Certification from Antioch University. She is a member of Pennsylvania Advocacy and Resources (PAR) and the Council of Exceptional Children. She holds a government-appointed position on the state’s Early Learning Council, an advisory committee to the Office of Child Development and Early Learning, and is a member and former President of the PA Early Intervention Provider’s Association.

Tonia C. McNeal, Chief Financial Officer

Ms. McNeal has been with KenCrest since 1984, starting as an Accounting Manager. She then served as Controller, and in 2002, she began her tenure as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining KenCrest, she was employed with Price Waterhouse.

Tonia has provided financial leadership that has supported continuous agency growth and service expansion throughout her time at KenCrest. She is a financial innovator that eagerly listens and collaborates across the agency. She is inspired by the mission of KenCrest to provide collaborative and innovative supports for people with significant challenges.

Ms. McNeal earned her B.S. in Accounting and Business Administration from Rutgers University.

 

 

Aurora Kripa, Chief Human Resources Officer

Ms. Kripa came to KenCrest as a consultant in November 2018 and took on the role of Chief Human Resources Officer in June 2019. Her experience includes start-up and executive leadership, quality assurance, and fiscal operations. Her most recent role was as Chief Executive Officer of Jewish Employment and Vocational Services (JEVS) at Home. Aurora brings creative thinking, a strong culture of teamwork and collaboration, a strong business acumen, and people-operations knowledge to the work she does at KenCrest.

Aurora received a B.A. in Psychology and Italian from Temple University, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from La Salle University, and a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Pennsylvania. She is fluent in three languages including English, Albanian, and Italian. She has also earned the following awards in recognition of her work: Honoree of the Billy Penn’s: Who’s Next in Public Service Award in 2018, SmartCEO’s 2017 Future 50 Award in 2017, and Honoree of the 2016 Cornerstone Award.

John Howe, Chief Technology Officer

Mr. Howe has been with KenCrest for over 23 years, being named Chief Technology Officer in September of 2014. He joined KenCrest because of the quality of work that the organization does to serve individuals in the community, helping them to live meaningful lives.  

John brings his knowledge of technical skills, networking with colleagues in the IT community, and creating new business opportunities. Mr. Howe does not shy away from taking risks and is always scanning the environment and our competition for new methods.

Mr. Howe previously served as the Director of Information Systems as well as the Data Processing Manager at KenCrest. During his tenure, he has built the company’s technology infrastructure and spearheaded joint IT ventures with other non-profit organizations. Prior to joining KenCrest, Mr. Howe was employed by TV GUIDE Magazine. He has successfully completed numerous information technology courses from Penn State University and holds an IT Management Certification from Villanova University.

Frank Guthridge, Chief Development Officer

Frank Guthridge started in the Human Services field in 1978 as Co-Director of Therapeutic Recreation at Elwyn. From 1980 to 1994 he returned to his alma mater, Valley Forge Military Academy & College, and served as a teacher, coach, Athletic Director, Alumni Director, and Director of Development. In 1994, Mr. Guthridge returned to Elwyn as Vice President of Development and Communications, where he served until 2009. From 2010 to 2016, Frank served as Vice President at NHS Human Services Foundation before joining KenCrest in August 2016.

Frank joined the KenCrest team because of the fine reputation they have in the industry and to be part of Marian Baldini’s team. Mr. Guthridge’s goal is to raise KenCrest’s brand awareness and increase the endowment. Frank is a respected team builder when it comes to board development, corporate partners, and friend-making. His creative, inclusive, and team approach has resulted in numerous successful campaigns that were built on trust, transparency, and confidence.

Mr. Guthridge received his B.S. in Health and Physical Education with a science emphasis from the University of Delaware and his M.S. at Long Island University in Adaptive Physical Education and Rehabilitation/Developmental Disabilities. He was awarded the Valley Forge Military Academy Distinguished Alumni award and is a member of their sports Hall of Fame.

Joyce Reiss, Director of Board Relations and Executive Supports

Beginning her career with KenCrest in 1999, Ms. Reiss served as an Employment Consultant, being promoted to Site Facilitator and then Director of Facility Based Programs. In 2009, she became the Assistant to the Executive Director of KenCrest Services.

Currently, she serves as Director of Board Relations and Executive Supports.

Joyce has built ongoing personal relationships with the people we support and cherishes being present for their life milestones. She is inspired to work at KenCrest because its heart remains with the communities and the people we serve, which has been true throughout our history. She uses positive approaches to support the people we work with as well as the staff.

Ms. Reiss has an Associates of Science in Occupational Therapy from Penn State University and a B.A. in Psychology from Lebanon Valley College.
