Early Intervention Services in Delaware (Ages birth to 3)
In the State of Delaware, KenCrest supports the Early Intervention system by providing initial evaluation services to determine early intervention eligibility, and Service Coordination services. These services are coordinated with the State of Delaware Birth-to-Three Early Intervention System, not through KenCrest directly.
In New Castle County, KenCrest provides the Initial Evaluation to determine eligibility for Early Intervention Services. KenCrest team of therapists and early childhood educator work collaboratively with the parents/caregivers to compete the evaluation. The areas of development that are evaluated are Social/Emotional, Communication, Gross Motor, Fine Motor, Cognitive, and Self Help. Our KenCrest teams follow the guidelines of the State of Delaware Early Intervention System.
For Service Coordination services, KenCrest coordinates a child’s initial evaluation and assists families in obtaining necessary supports and services. As Service Coordinators, KenCrest personnel monitor each child’s program plan and services, and keep timelines on assessments, case notes, and all other required documentation. Service coordination is available in New Castle, Kent, and Sussex counties.
