KenCrest currently offers robust and varied community participation opportunities, formerly known as Adult Day Programs. Participation in these programs focus on enabling a participant to do what they most enjoy and be encouraged to try new activities, like art, yoga, paper making, and more. Our participation opportunities launch from four locations in Pottstown, Wyncote, Malvern, and Exton, PA.
Community participation opportunities provide small groups of participants with activities in a community-based setting. They are ideal for individuals who enjoy activity within a structured setting and are outcome-based. KenCrest provides a variety of options with new and exciting activities to choose from, based on individual preferences.
These programs provide a combination of:
- Volunteering
- Civic activities
- Hobbies
- Physical activities
- Employment
Seeds Of Purpose
Located in Pottstown, PA, the Seeds of Purpose program blends horticultural therapy with training in gardening including planting, nurturing, and harvesting.
We have a beautiful greenhouse, raised gardens, and a retail store all on site. Participants learn about retail and horticultural practices, customer service, and a variety of other skills.
KenCrest Creations
The KenCrest Creations elective offers participants an opportunity to work on creative activities, many of which use items provided by the Seeds of Purpose horticultural program to produce crafts and gift items. KenCrest Creations sells these items exclusively at local events.
