KenCrest provides adult community living services and birth-to-three early intervention services in New Castle, Delaware. KenCrest’s adult community living homes are in safe, centrally located neighborhoods. Each home provides 24-hour in-house support and can serve up to four residents at a time. All KenCrest homes provide support services, quality care and meaningful community engagement. Each property meets state safety standards and ample security. KenCrest adult residential homes allow each individual to live in the community of their choice with the supports they request or require, and access the activities, employment, friends and family they desire to. Each KenCrest community living home is as unique as the individual(s) living there.
All of KenCrest’s birth-to-three services focus on the concerns of the family or caregiver and the daily routines of the child. KenCrest coaches and supports caregivers to implement chosen strategies throughout the child’s day. All services are provided in the child’s home, child care setting, or requested community environment (natural environment of the child and family). We provide Multidisciplinary Evaluation (MDE) in the following areas: social/emotional, communication, physical, adaptive, and cognitive; as well as service coordination and a Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).
Living in the community, in one of KenCrest’s adult community living homes, is not a placement but a choice made by each resident based on their individual set of preferences, personalities, goals and needs. KenCrest, in partnership with all team members, such as the supports coordinator as well as family members, is available to assist each individual in making their decision to live in an adult community living home.
The supports KenCrest provides are based on individual, outcome-based goals outlined by each person’s ISP. Regular team meetings serve to discuss the progress made on each goal and adjust supports according to a person’s goals, outcomes, and interests.
KenCrest is pleased to provide a host of adult supports and services. We offer a variety of Community Living, Employment and Community Participation Day Program options for adults 21 and over. Contact Us to find out more information today!
Overlooking the Delaware River, Historic New Castle is the oldest continuously occupied town in the Delaware Valley. And, thanks to preservation efforts, this vibrant, fully occupied community remains one of the most important Colonial/Federal villages in America – second only to Williamsburg, Virginia in the number and authenticity of its historic structures.
