Intellectual Disabilities

For 109 years, KenCrest has supported tens of thousands of individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Intellectual disabilities can vary significantly from person to person, blocking their overall cognitive development. Most often intellectual disabilities can affect an individual’s ability to communicate and to socialize with others. Children with intellectual disabilities have difficulty learning in school.
The symptoms of an intellectual disability vary from person to person, and so do the services that are offered by KenCrest. Each treatment decision is made with the individual and family in mind, built from the basis of the individual’s unique strengths and interests. The goal of all of our services is to empower the individual so that he or she can lead a healthy, happy, more independent life.
