Staff bookkeeper: HUD

This position reports to the Enterprise Manager.

Maintain all bank accounts and prepares reconciliations on a monthly basis.

Prepare and code accounts payable vouchers and check for proper posting to general ledger.

Prepare inter-company expense journal entries and reconcile inter-company balances.

Submit monthly HAP billing to HUD and prepare revenue entries for general ledger. Submit vacancy claims as needed. Resolve any billing/processing disputes with HUD.

Process tenant certifications and rent changes on a timely basis.

Assist with annual audit, budgets and preparation of audit work papers.

This is a part-time position with a minimum of three days a week.


REQUIREMENTS: A minimum of five years experience as a full charge bookkeeper. Excellent Excel skills and familiarity with property management software. Experience with HUD housing or property management preferred.

The responsibilities of this full time position are split between the administration of the center as well as teaching.
