Services in Delaware State

KenCrest provides Residential Services for adults in the State of
Delaware. These services reflect the values and desires of the individuals that live in the homes and are offered in various communities located in New Castle, Kent, and Sussex Counties.

KenCrest has provided residential services in Delaware since 1983.
As the first residential provider in Delaware serving individuals with disabilities, services have grown from two original homes to over 25 locations, serving over 90 individuals across the state.

Living situations may vary based on:
• Need for Supervision
• Personal Choice
• Need for specialized support (behavioral or medical)
• Preference in housemates

Group Home Settings
• Up to 5 individuals supported with trained KenCrest staff
• Typical staffing support is 24 hours/day
• Homes are licensed by the State of Delaware

Apartment Settings
• Smaller settings with fewer individuals living together
• Fully staffed (24 hours) and partially staffed apartment settings are available, determined by the needs of the individual.

Supported Living Settings
Supports are provided by KenCrest staff to individuals with developmental disabilities who live in their own homes or apartments. Supports vary, depending upon individual needs and desires but may include transportation to various locations in the community, assistance with medications and medical care, help with shopping and other activities in the community.

Delaware Residential Supports at KenCrest
Support from the entire team which is based upon the individual and careful listening to his/her dreams and goals. Supports and services may include:

• Behavioral
• Case management supports
• Coordination of medical care
• Training based on individual need
• Team meetings with the individual/family for planning
• On Call Services 24 hours a day
